Not happy with the design on the mittens. Will tink and start again. In the meantime I started a bag to be felted. I just remembered that when we go skiing in Whistler the condo has a top loader washing machine ---so I need to knit a bunch of stuff to felt.

Started my first pair of mittens today. I worked with 5 dps for a while and then switched to 2 circs. They are going pretty fast--a lot like doing socks. I am getting ready to do the thumb.

Just finished. You can barely see the beads around the neck. Hardly worth the effort. I may add some drops or something a bit more dramatic but I will wear it for a couple of days first to see how it feels and wears. I really liked working with the Blue moon yarn but it did shed while knitting.

Harmonia's Rings Cowl

Started project designed by Sivia Harding and I am really liking BlueMoon's Peru. It is so easy to work with--the only drawback is that after working on it for a while it looks like I own a pet. Some of the alpaca hairs are all over my lap.

Frogging my Favorite

Frogged my aran square and started over with a #5 lace needle. Ahh the sharpy point makes it so much easier for me to do purl 3's. Doesn't hurt my hand at all. So have made little progress. Did get the man slippers felted and they are drying now. Also got blue moon yarn ready for Harmonia Ring neck wrap.

Major set back. After blocking it grew

It really stretched while blocking. I will have to frog when it is dry and start over. Bummer

I am working diligently. I enjoyed the touch of the yarn it is soft and easy on the hands. This particular colorway has more orange/red/yellow than purple /blue/green. For the applied I-cord I cut the warm tone yarn out to stay with the cooler tones for around the face.

Happy New Year

I have been working very hard on Rad's coat. Last night it was all I could do to get the last 7 inches done. Now I have to send Auggy the pattern that I traced on muslin so she can fit it to Rad and then she will send it back to me and I can cut out the coat and finish it!!!!. I started a warm ear flap hat for me today out of Mochi Plus in colorway of the rainbow.
